lancaster

the highlight of the first leg of my journey was running into kabi, a lifelong mentor and friend, on the train from new york to lancaster.  kabi had spent the day in new york and was also heading back to lancaster, and my mom had told her that we would be on the same train.  she tracked me down and we had a wonderful conversation about serious contemporary fiction, life, love, and theological education.

i’m about to consume a delicious-looking sendoff brunch before mom and i depart for pittsburgh and chicago.  hopefully hans can tear himself away from his beloved mac long enough to join me.

  1. I have been trying to come up with something clever to say in this comment for about 6 minutes now. Nothing came. This is unacceptable.

Glad you had a friend to share the first part of the journey with.

    Also: Hans is looking good.
